Post #2: Old Spice commercials with Terry Crews

Terry Crews is a hugely underrated comedic actor. I don't care what anyone says, the dude is straight hilarious! He had me in stitches as the rich white girl-loving baller in the movie White Chicks, has some sick dance skills, and can be seen breaking it down on Nick Canon's Wild 'n Out.

So when I first saw Old Spice's latest ad campaign, I nearly fell off the couch laughing. Check out this compilation from the campaign and try not to laugh. Can't do it.

Ahh yes, the "lean mean grilling machine." I'm a fan of anything that can turn a completely frozen chicken breast into dinner in 9 minutes flat. For me, speed is key when cooking, but so is having the ability to make several "go-to" dishes conveniently. The George Foreman delivers on both fronts.

Cooking snobs and other haters step aside. The GFG is awesome for many reasons besides cooking speed:

1) Slick (and functional) design - These things look sweet! The white color blends into any kitchen, and the grills are easy to move around. Plus, the downward-sloping clam shell design not only looks good - it drains grease which makes the grill extremely easy to clean. (oh yea...and those health benefits big George is always raving about)

2) Versatility - Burgers, check. Chicken, check. You can even cook salmon and veggies on this bad boy! And don't forget the classics - grilled cheese sandwiches and pressed paninis (one of my go-to's).

3) Temperature indicator light - let's you know when the grill is sufficiently preheated. Can they make this thing any more user friendly?

All in all, this is a great product. It makes my life much easier, and is a must-have for my kitchen.

Do you agree? Or do you think anything cooked in 9 minutes shouldn't be edible? Either way, I'd love to hear the good, bad, and the ugly about the GFG.

Why Cookies?

They taste great. The smell needs no explanation. And best of all, everyone has experienced the simple joy of eating a chocolate chip cookie fresh from the oven. (Seriously, who hasn't?)

Freshly baked cookies resemble everything this blog is about - a forum for sharing those things in everyday life that are so simple, so unique, yet so delightful, they put you in a better mood.

This is the first post of many. I'll share the objects, experiences, innovations, and moments I find insanely delightful. These posts won't be premeditated; I'll just share what I observe in the world around me, and welcome you to offer your thoughts as well.

All in all, this blog is a deliberate effort to compile and articulate the small things that make life enjoyable. I hope you'll join me on the journey!
